Experience/Achievements:

With over 20 years’ experience, Nicola has gained considerable expertise in audit, for both corporate and charitable clients. In 2011 she also qualified as a member of the Institute of Indirect Taxation, adding VAT consultancy to the range of services which she provides to her clients.

Nicola has been involved in a variety of specialist audit assignments and worked with a number of companies to develop systems and procedures to help them run their businesses more effectively.

Previously Head of the charities and not for profit team at Shaw Gibbs, Nicola has built up an excellent reputation and client portfolio within the sector, both as a Charity Auditor and Independent Examiner.

She is keenly aware of the reporting and governance issues faced by charities and not for profit organisations, and Nicola ensure that she keeps up-to-date with key issues (both accounting and otherwise) within the charity sector, so she can give clients the most effective support.

Specialities: During her working life Nicola has built up extensive knowledge of a number of specialist sectors and acquired a comprehensive insight into the FSA and Charity Commission regulated sectors as well as completing audits and offering VAT advice to all manner of businesses.

Interests:

Nicola is a dedicated Wolverhampton Wanderers fan, following her team up and down the country (and latterly the leagues) on a regular basis. She also loves cooking and murder mysteries, although as yet the 2 interests have not coincided!
